Dorotheenstädtischer Friedhof I

Visiting the burial chapel

It is only possible to visit the burial chapel at Dorotheenstädtischer cemetery with light installation by James Turrell within a guided tour. Tours take place half an hour before sunset. Please check the monthly opening hours on our website or facebook page.

We recommend the purchase of tickets in advance (10 €) online:
https://billetto.eu/users/evangelischer-friedhofsverband-berlin-stadtmitte

If online tickets run out, remaining tickets may be available at the chapel before the event (cash only).

The art introduction lasts for approximately 30 minutes. Information sheets in English, French, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese are available. If you want to visit the chapel on another date and get a private art tour in English, German, Italian, French or Chinese please send an E-Mail to ticketsevfbs.REMOVE-THIS.de. Make sure to contact us one week at the latest in advance and inform us about your preferred dates, group size and the language.

From September until May the chapel will be open for prayer on Saturdays after the art tour. (Due to the late sunsets there is no open chapel from June until the end of August.) Please check the website for "Open Chapel" hours ("Offene Kapelle zur Andacht"). No reservation required. Free entry. We kindly ask for donations.

The chapel is located at:
